Is it the same muffler? Can anyone else confirm this?

 

tips are are larger on the sport muffler that is the only difference I can tell. the pipe diameter and body are the same.

 

I dont get it i have a 2008 G37S with STOCK exhaust. The car has the SPORT package wouldnt that include the SPORT OEM exhaust? They made something different now called SPORT exhaust??

Is the G37S exhaust stock any different than a G37x or base model exhaust?

 

Infiniti sells an aftermarket muffler to increase sound. It's a factory branded part. It's simply called the Sport accessory muffler.
This is an optional item you can buy......

What comes on any G37 coupe is just the stock factory muffler.

 

Love the sport muffler! Gives even less of a reason to go for a catback exhaust.

 

NISMO muffler =/= Sport Accessory Muffler

The NISMO muffler is more similar, if not the same, as the IPL muffler. There are differences in the tips, and surely the internal design. The Sport Accessory muffler is overall more loud than both the NISMO and IPL muffler. The Fujitsubo (JDM) muffler appears to be very similar, if not identical, though.

 

I'm working on picking up a stock Nismo 370Z muffler to compare to my stock coupe muffler. I will update with video if I can arrange this.

 

Carlo - I just ordered one too - glad to hear you like yours! My ebay Tanabe knockoff is rattling. I think the OEM sport will be nicer because of less highway drone. That's a crazy good deal from Infiniti of Willow Grove - got mine for $568.71 shipped!
