His advice seems pretty sounds to me, I would just add some 3M double sided tapes so it'll be even more secured. Which lip do you have?

Agree, 3M tape. But before you add the 3M prep the surface, i.e. clean it then wipe with alcohol for better adhesion. If you really want to then put adhesion promoter on it. Between the 3M tape and screws your lip will stay put. Park back a little further from the cement parking blocks though. Just saying...

I'll just leave this here:

"What is Duraflex?

Duraflex is an FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) body kit and aerodynamics product line. The Duraflex product line differs from the competition in the manufacturing techniques and proprietary resin formula that results in a cost effective fiberglass component that is more durable and more flexible than a standard fiberglass component. Duraflex products have been found to have a reduction in shipping damages of up to 75% over the previous standard fiberglass product line that it replaced back in 2005. Duraflex is not perfect and flaw free straight from the box. Duraflex body kits and aerodynamics do require the same installation techniques and paint prep techniques as standard fiberglass body kits. Duraflex parts are not paint ready out of the box and will always require sanding the entire surface and filling any chips, scratches, and spider cracks that may be present in the base primer finish. Duraflex body kits and aero parts should not be compared to urethane products in terms of flexibility. Urethane is much more flexible but also significantly heavier and more expensive to manufacture. Duraflex body kits and aerodynamics are manufactured with the intention of offering a low priced part that has superior quality, styling and durability that will withstand normal daily driving."

Cool thanks Nguyen, Already knew that the body shop prepped the lip and sanded it down well before paint it with K57 and matching variance to match my car.

Now honestly the only thing i`m worried about is the installation, I`d like to do it myself . Some of the comments on this forum suggest to putting 3m tape is there a specific type of 3m tape i should buy ?

Automotive 3M tape comes in a decent sized roll. It has a 1" width or a 1/2" width available. Pretty easy to use stuff. Just prep the surface, unlike the other guys, I use actual 3M adhesive promoter, rather than just rubbing alcohol. It comes in little individual wipes (from amazon or ebay).

Amazon.com : 3M + (8 pack) ADHESION PROMOTER - Part # 6396 Attachment Tape Liquid Primer : Everything Else Amazon.com : 3M + (8 pack) ADHESION PROMOTER - Part # 6396 Attachment Tape Liquid Primer : Everything Else

Unspool the tape you need and lay it in a strip on the lip. Prep the bottom of your bumper with the wipe, then peel back about 2-3 inches of the protective film to expose a little bit of the sticky part of the 3M tape. This little tail will stick out of the gap between the lip and bumper. Offer up the lip to the bumper, get it fitted correctly, then press firmly to stick that 2-3 inches of double sided tape you exposed earlier. Pull the exposed tail to strip back the film and expose rest of the double sided tape. Press firmly again on the bottom of the lip to secure it, and shoot some screws into there to hold it forevur. FOR. Ev. UR.

JK, it comes off pretty cleanly, but not easily.

That's how the pros do it. Be a pro, do it right, do it once.
