Vinyl Wrap Quote

I am really loving the vinyl wrap on the roof look. I know its not for everyone but I like the contrast it gives the G. Anyways, for the members that has there's wrapped, I got a quote for 3M gloss black at $150.., is this good?

That's not bad. A local guy here in Houston was doing &100 roof wraps as a special for one week only, so 150 for your car as a regular price is pretty good. It's also more difficult to wrap a sunroof.

Think I paid about $175. so yeah that seems fair.

Double check to make sure he intends on cleaning and claybaring your roof, pulling the antenna off the roof, wrapping the roof and the antenna individually, and then putting the antenna back on. Some will try to wrap right over the roof and antenna together and it will definitely peel up and bubble around the antenna over time. dont let him BS you. It is worth the extra 20 mins to pop it off, wrap it, and put it back on.

If there are imperfections in your paint (from not claying everything completely) they will show through the vinyl wrap as tiny little bumps if you really look up close. More than 1ft away you could never notice. I have a few, but it is not big deal IMO.

I did not even think of the antenna and the claybar. Thank a lot fellas, I really appreciate your input. I will get this done in the next two weeks. I'm excited to get this mod done.
PS...I was thinking of getting the grill and emblem, the mouth opening of the bumper, the chrome spoiler and diffuser done, is this too much?

You could probably DIY it if you had a heat gun. It's a flat surface, albeit curved, but it's not like you're going to hit any intricate body patterns. A sharp razorblade after the install for the sunroof should do the trick.

And if you don't like it, then you can always peel it off and get a professional to do it.

Don't even need a heat gun, just a hair blow dryer
