Broke into my G

Hello everyone, so I had to get back to my country in the summer to see my family leaving my car in front of my apartment. After that I get a call from a friend telling me that my car got broke into. Someone broke the Front Driver's Side Door Glass. I just want to know how much that will cost me to fix it and where to find a place to install the window. Unfortunately the insurance company will not going to cover the damage coz I don't have a full coverage.

It literally just happened to me last week.

Broke into my G-ku8fmjy.jpg

I have glass insurance and they paid out $450 to the glass shop. The glass was $300 and then there was labor. Seemed really high but I didn't really care because insurance paid it all.

Yeah, worst part is HE ONLY TOOK 3 DOLLARS. Nothing was exposed, he opened the glove compartment and the ash tray and found the money. It took an hour to clean all the glass out. When they changed the glass he vacuumed it out of the door panel and he missed a single piece and now it rattles when I close the door and it's driving me crazy so I need to take the door panel off AGAIN.

I hate those lowlife people. It seems to me this will happened more often in the future. Could I ask you how much do you pay for the glass insurance ?? coz I need to make one for myself!!

It's an additional $150/year for the G. No deductible so it's pretty good. I have Geico and I've made 4 claims (only 1 on the G) and they've paid all of them no problem. I really recommend it.

Soo much easier then that to break in to a G. Just stick a flathead screwdriver behind the driverside door key hole, then turn it to the unlock position. It wont unlock the door, but the windows will roll down. Then no broken glass.

Had my car broken in to twice, both done like this.

Well this is informational.... way I would've gotten into it is to take off the plastic cover off the top of the glass and open it with a wire hanger by unlocking the door. I got the key hole cover on for my G so I don't know if your method will work for me. ...

PS. Sorry about your G and the break in. ..
