Awd model too heavy?

I have a 2011 g37x coupe and I bought the eibach pro kit springs to put on my G. When I brought the car and springs in they told me that the awd models 2011+ are too heavy and they wouldn't put the springs on because they would break. The springs were specifically listed for 09+ awd models. What's the deal here..?

Where ever you brought it in must be confused. If the springs are made specifically for the AWD/X model then they should be fine.

I have a '10 G37x Coupe and I have been on Eibach springs for about 2 years without any issues.

Easy solution: Find some place that knows what they're talking about. The springs were designed for your X in mind. Trust.

They did you a favor - they let you know they have no idea what they are doing.

Never let them touch your car.

I learned the same lesson when a shop adjusted my rear wheels to Positive camber during a routine alignment I'll never be back there again!
