Rubber or Carpet?

With some help from people in this forum I got some great advice on where to get accessories (floor mats ect) for my 2008 37s, but was now wondering what do you prefer? Rubber or carpet mats? Which look the best and dont make the interior look cheep? Pictures if you have any would be great. Thanks.

Rubber floor mats, even in winter, suck begonias.

Go with carpet. If they get dirty, hang them up in the spray carwash bay and give them a blast. Drip dry and done.

Rubber is ugly and doesn't fit with the image of a "luxury sports coupe". Go with the carpet.

I tend to agree. The premium mats look great.

I agree that carpet mats are more appropriate for an upscale car. Yes, they’re a bit more trouble to keep clean, but if mine get too grungy I’ll just replace them.

rubber mats November - March for me, premium carpet mats April - October. all OEM parts, by far the best fit and appearance. love the premium mats.

Hmmm... I need to protect the car's carpet with carpet floor mats and those need to be protected with rubber floor mats!?!?

I see what's going on here

What do I need to protect my rubber floor mats? Steel?

I have OEM and Some Weathertech ... OEM is better. WeatherTec is a good alternative if OEM doesn't offer a all weather matt. Do a Google search on WeatherTech ... you are good to go if they fit right (not all do) and good luck if you have to deal with customer service.

lol. not exactly. mat stacking is not advised. i would hope most folks on here are aware of that.

rubber mats OR carpet mats is the topic of discussion, not both at the same time. toyota prius owners do not apply here...

Got Weathertech in the X5. Nasty. Water pools in them and if your pants cuff is lying in it your pants wick up the nasty salty water. And with the more recumbent G, your pants take an even worse beating. Give me carpet even in the slushiest winter.
