Weird A/C issue
Weird A/C issue
I'm driving 2010 g37 coupe non-sports. Since around a year ago my a/c started having some problems. It works perfectly fine when I'm driving (saying when my tires are rolling), but when I stop like at the signal or any other spot, the air gets warmer immediately. I can feel it warmer, I can smell it getting warmer. Anyone had this problem yet? Anyone have clue why it's happening? and if anyone know some auto repair shop around OC or LA area please inform me. I've found some a/c problem threads here but it's not the same as my problem. Thanks all.
There's a TSB for this - ITB10-051 "A/C Blows Warm at Idle".
Basically, the idle on certain 2010 G's was programmed to be too low. When the idle gets low, the car shuts off the A/C compressor to reduce engine load. Therefore, you no longer get cool air until you accelerate, raising engine speed, and the car switches the compressor back on.
The fix is just a software update. Take it to the dealer for this.
Hope this helps!

I have the exact same issue with my 2010 G37 sedan. It would start blowing warm air, unless I cranked the A/C temp down to 65.
Took it to the dealership 2 months ago, and they replaced the compressor under warranty, but it didn't fix this problem!
I will take it back tomorrow to fix this under the TSB.
