Looking at adding IPL Body kit and 19" g37 sport sedan wheels
My name is Daniel and I am new to the forum. I own a Black Obsidian 2008 Infiniti G37 Journey Coupe, with every option besides the sport package. The other week, I bought my friends 19" g37 sedan sport rims by Enkei for a steal of a price. I was curious if anybody else had the sedan sport rims on their coupe? I like the coupe sports rims better, but the sedan ones still look good and I plan on powder coating them gun metal grey.
Also, I am looking to put on the the Duraflex IPL look body kit on - some stupid drunk college kid at my apartment complex backed into me with his truck, so i figured I could use the insurance money on the body kit, instead of just repairing the damaged rear bumper. Here's the body kit:2008-2014 Infiniti G Coupe G37 Q60 Q60 Duraflex IPL Look Body Kit - 4
One question, since my g37 front bumper is the non-sport one, how would I hook up the fog lights? And would there be any other issues with the bumper conversion, such as grill mesh? The non sport bumper is quite different, while the IPL body kit is very close to the stock sport (obviously being that the IPL isn't significantly different than the sport). On top of all that, I would add the factory like spoiler by elite spoilers, as that would complete the look: Elite Spoilers - Best Price on Elite Lip Spoilers and Wings
If the front bumper conversion involves a lot, I may rethink adding the rims body kit, and spoiler, and just keep everything stock and repair the rear bumper, and resell the 19" Enkei rims. If anyone has any input or has the sport sedan rims on their coupe, I'd love to see it. Also, I attached two photos of my car, and hopefully they loaded correctly. Thanks, Daniel.

Hi Daniel,
Welcome to the site & congrats on your new Coupe.
Are you sure those wheels came from a sedan? Only the Coupe sport pkg came w/ 19" wheels, the sedans sport pkg has 18" staggered setup.
Got a pic of the wheels by chance?

Welcome to the forum, there's a lot of knowledge to be had here if you take some time and poke around.
There is no sedan package I'm aware of that ever came with 19" wheels. The 19" wheels are purely for the G37s coupe, and the G37Xs coupe. Either you are purchasing 18" wheels from a sedan, or your friend acquired coupe wheels somewhere along the way.
Gunmetal wheels look good on black coupes, but the offsets on your wheels (if indeed they did come off a sedan) will be a little sunken in. Luckily, you don't have the sport brakes to worry about, so just about any wheel available on any G37 ever can fit your car.
Let's talk body kits. Body kits are a popular way to customize your car, but I'm going to tell you right now that it is not something you should cut corners on. Duraflex, though cheap-ER than the competition has a history of extremely poor fit and build quality in their products. There are several more reputable dealers right here on the forum that can help you get better quality pieces. The IPL body kit is good, but I think you'll regret cheaping out and getting a duraflex body kit. Outkast garage makes a better IPL replica front bumper, or you can get the real deal from some of the licensed Infiniti dealers here on the site.
Spoilers...
Okay, spoilers look good on *most* cars. You've got several options available, if the chrome decklid spoiler isn't doing it for you, any good body /paint shop should be able to color match and paint your OEM spoiler. Alternatively, you could purchase a new "duckbill" molded trunk from forum vendors for that smooth, clean look. There's also the option of buying the OEM coupe spoiler, it sits flat and isn't a true "wing."
I've seen G37's with wings, and it looks pretty bad. There is only one wing I even kind of like, and that would be the GTR style wing made by Zele from Japan. The G37 has an innate amount of class and has very strong lines for an overall clean look, and sticking a FRP body kit and a big universal wing on there will have people screaming "ricer" before you finish backing out of the body shop.
One man's opinion, your car, your money, your business.
Fog lights
Blnewt wrote a very good DIY for making your own fog lights, the wiring diagram is the same for OEM style fogs as it is for his LED option. Alternatively, I've dabbled a bit in wiring up headlights and I could help you tackle the project if you decide to take it on.
Let's break this down and take it one at a time.

75% sure the answer is no, it does not sit lower.
I can't tell for sure, but it doesn't look like it sits any lower. As is, the standard G37 bumper doesn't sit any lower than the splashguard, I doubt the IPL bumper will sit lower than the splash guard, given the design.

DIY. replacing a bumper is pretty easy, it's just a couple clips and bolts holding the sideskirts on, too. <1 hour at a shop, if you choose that route.

I attached a picture of the rims. He didn't get the sport package, but he paid an extra $2000 at the Infiniti dealership for the premium wheels on his 2011 g37 sedan. I believe they are 19", as we held them up to my stock 18" rims and they appear bigger
Nope, those are 18's
