Build questions hp gains?

Build questions hp gains?

I'm going a different route on my 09 g37s 6mt I wanna build the motor before my gtm supercharger because of reliability I know the basics of a built motor rods, heads, exc but just wanna know what people have done for hp gains without forced induction

My mod list currently

R2c Sri
Ark grip cbe
Southend 6 puck clutch
South bend light flywheel
Ark resonated test pipes
Oh and counterweight shiftknob ha jk

What is your question? Are you asking what bolt-on's provide the biggest horsepower boosts? The short answer is that every single bolt-on will net you a gain of <30 horsepower, probably.

Really my question is what people are doing or would like to do to build there motors I want to get the most out of my motor just don't know where to start I know our motors are high compression im asking what rod specs piston specs bore that I could get most gains out of

Gotcha, if you're looking to rework the motor internals, you might want to see if SharpByCoop is still around. He built his motor before boosting it. You might also want to contact Sam @ GTM, as they have a stroker kit for boring out and increasing the displacement of the VQ37VHR motor. He can probably point or advise you in a direction to go on your build.

Awsome thanks for the advice I live in tampa fl and we have z fever here which are experts in nissan/infiniti builds they've done amazing work. Just wanted peoples experiences or ideas

Very unnecessary comment I enjoy my car just as much as anyone else and I paid for my car like everyone else im new to the vq37vhr platform. just asking questions, thought thats what this forum was for

Gotta think about your own situation when trying to answer this. How "bullet proof" you wanna make your motor depends on lots of things.

Do you plan to track it? How much boost or added power? How much you want to spend on possible repairs vs how much you want to spend up front?

Well that really depends on your budget, expected gains, and how reliable you want it to be. It's not a cut and dry question which is why you aren't getting answers.
