Can you identify this?

What is this behind my 08' G37s coupe bumper? I will be installing a new bumper soon, where should I put this? Hopefully one of the pictures below works. First time posting a pic.

I am guessing that it might be the sensor for the bonnet impact mechanism (I made that name up). I assume the the USDM also has a sensor that detects a frontal impact and fires a small charge which pushes the bonnet up and back. I think that it is designed to help cause less injuries to pedestrians.

If its not that then I have no idea what it is.

Does anyone who had their bumper off know where this thing should be located? Would not like to accidentally hit this thing and have an airbag go off. HA
