My latest thought is that it's a G37S with sport package and 7AT option.

I still have the '09 glossy brochure that I picked up from the dealer when I bought my '08 at the end of its model year. There were four models of the coupe in '09: the coupe; the coupe journey; the coupe awx; and the coupe sport 6mt. The sport package was an option for the journey and standard for the sport 6mt. The package included the 19" wheels, wider tires, bigger brakes, viscous limited slip rear differential, sport tuned suspension, sport front fascia and side panels, front sport seats with thigh extension and driver's power torso and thigh support adjustment, special seat and steering wheel stitching, paddle shifters (for the journey), and aluminum pedals. There were other options that were only available with the 6mt or the sport package equipped journey: the 4-wheel active steering; and the rear spoiler.

Infiniti's customer website has dropped links to the manuals for the '08 and '09 model years.

The '09 owner's manual can be found here: http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com/ref...finiti-G37.pdf

The '09 navigation systems manual is here: http://www.infiniti-techinfo.com/ref...-06IT-Navi.pdf

That's basically it. Infiniti considers the 6MT a separate model from the rest of the G's; i.e. the "Sport Model." A normal Journey or X coupe can be optioned with a "Sport Package" that adds paddle shifters plus most of the "Sport Model" goodies (big brakes, sport seats, 19" wheels, etc), obviously excluding the manual transmission. Things get a bit more complicated on the sedan side of the family tree but since you own a coupe there's no need to get in to that.

not to jack the thread but I supposedly have a 7AT journey coupe, 2010. what makes that different than the base coupe. I do not have nav. Car came with Premium package and 19" sport wheels. Honestly can't tell, it's almost like I got a base but with the upgrades that come with a premium package along and with the wheel upgrade....I've always wondered this...

From my 2010 specification sheet, the "plain" coupe lacked the following items that were standard on the Journey version: auto on/off headlights; heated outside mirrors; dual zone automatic temperature controls with microfiltration; automatic anti-glare mirror with homelink transceiver and compass; heated front seats; USB for iPod; 2GB music box; bluetooth phone system; and rear view monitor and sonar. None of the option packages, premium, navigation, technology and sport, were available on the "plain" coupe. Plain coupe was pretty plain, allright.

Nice. Ok, I guess it's safe to say I have the Journey as I have all of the additional items you mentioned. Good to finally know...Thank you.
