I would say these cars are very reliable for a sports car. Check out the search function though you can find a lot of threads about the G37s reliability. Welcome to the forum

It's basically a Nissan. Everyone knows the Japanese tighten their bolts more.

Haha, more like - Everyone knows the Japanese tighten their bolts to correct torque specs.

But seriously OP, I just read that Consumer Reports just listed the Infiniti G series as one of the best luxury vehicles. Not to mention all the other high ratings Infiniti has received from various other sources.

I don’t think Consumer Reports spelled Infiniti with a y.

I would probably buy a more recent model though like 2011, 2012.. My 2008 had lots of rattles, squeaks here and there. Also, the 2009 models come with 7 speed + some upgrade interior features..

Im looking at some myself, but I tell you what. I have a 2003 Lexus Gs300 and I don't have any rattles. Super reliable. Comfortable. Looks as tho it's a newer model car. Too bad lexus doesn't have a nice looking coupe. ( I don't like the SC or the IS verts)

This is my second one due to totalling my beautiful Vibrant Red 2012 G37X when I got ran off the road during rush hour traffic. This car is phenomenal...airbags immediately deployed and the seatbelt system stopped me from getting the standard broken collar bone and bruised hip bones. In addition, the car's support cage absorbed so much impact it buckled but kept me from getting hurt. (I hit a guard rail so hard, that I looked over the rail and thought I was going over. For an accident that I could have gotten killed or at the very least had significant injuries, I walked away with a few bumps and bruises. My beautiful G was on her chassis as all 4 tires blew and not a panel was unscathed, but it saved my life. I was so impressed, I bought the 2013 Vibrant Red G37X, and I gave the pictures of my wrecked car to the Infiniti dealer to use as a selling point! You cannot go wrong!
