Hi,

Is it possible to purchase just the exhaust tips that attached to the IPL muffler?

I ask because the tips on my IPL are corroded inside and the black paint on the outside edge has rubbed off in one location. I think this is the result of the car sitting for nearly two years on the dealer lot, which allowed moisture to reside inside the tips for an extended period of time. Not a huge deal but something I would like to correct if at all possible.

pretty sure all the tips are welded on.. so the answer is no

 

just go to a local muffler shop they can weld on some new ones

 

Maybe see if the dealership would replace it under warranty as well.

 

ya that falls under the corrosion warranty which is longer than your bumper to bumper. take it in to the dealer and if they say no raise hell. that is covered

 

Thank you for the feedback. I'll bring it up when the car goes in for its 3K service. Despite being a model year 2011 IPL, it was sold as new with full warrantee so I agree that it should be covered under warrantee...the trick is whether the dealer will agree with me. They have been great so far, so I hope that will address this minor issue.
