G37 maintenance question

I am looking into buying a 2011 G37. Because I am mechanically challenged I plan to let the pros handle regular maintenance. Can anyone give me an idea what regular maintenance costs for a G37 compare to a similar domestic vehicle? Brakes, oil change, trans service, serp belt vs. timing chain, that sort of thing

if you're still thinking about it don't. Just go for it its nothing more then a fancy nissan. i had a 350z before this and aside from the extra intake the car is very close to being the same. brakes are not that expensive if its going to be your daily and not a track car you will be fine. oil change go from 25-50 I did mine for $40 with mobile 1 extended performance and k&n filter (walmarts' oil is very inexpensive :]). The transmission service isn't expensive you can do it yourself for $60 thats what infiniti fluid adds up to if you just drain and fill. If you have them do it, its $140 that's the price i got yesterday. As far as the chain goes that you don't have to worry about it'll last just as long as the car will (well according to my service manager and the fact that i never touched it on my z i had for 3 years). Only thing you have to worry about are the ac belts n that's not much to worry about.

You can have an independant mechanic do your maintenance rather than the dealer and save a good bit; just make sure to keep the receipts for any warranty issues.

Yep - at the end of the day, it's an upscale Nissan, which is a good thing.

Even if you go to the dealer, the maint cost are not that bad. This is one of the things that makes the G so incredibly attractive as compared to Bimmers, Audis and even Lexus.
