Hey guys I'm new on here and I'm currently looking to purchase a G37S Coupe. I was just wondering what the differences between the model years are. Mainly from 08-11. Thanks in advance.

 

08-09 (stuff that changed from 08), not much, scratch shield paint on some colors, round ***** for heated seats, door handle trim are washi instead of a polished aluminum, automatic changed from 5spd to 7spd gearbox
2010+, different aluminum trim inside, if automatic there's a slightly revised transmission lever area, different dial design in gauge cluster, higher res center/nav screen, no more CF card slot (replaced by USB), no scratch shield this year
2011, same as 2010 but scratch shield came back

2010+ got Bluetooth steaming for music, USB Input instead of the IPod/IPhone only cable and the RCA Jacks (Video/Audio) got replaced with Aux Cable Jack which is great but, with the RCA input you can play videos and movies or anything you insert into that source

 

Oh yea, a2dp is nice to have. I added it with a little Kinivo unit through my aux port on my 08.

 

Unless I was doing something wrong for 2 years, which I may have been, my 2011 did not allow me to stream music via Bluetooth. My 2013 does however, be it Pandora, iTunes, or jail broken apps that play music

 

11-13 grill lights come Blk Chrome yet too upper fogs only have 1 bulb vs older have 2...

Gold my 12 streams Bluetooth just fine... not sure why yours didn't? I still die to the month I still have the Jukebox feature a few mo after it wasnt in the next set that were made... read a few threds on that... they should keep that feature...

 

I am driving a 2013 Sedan Loaner, the headlights look a little more clearer and bluer hue, I am sure they are the stock 4300-5000k that I have in my 2008, but I think maybe the projector is different?

Can anyone confirm? I was gonna switch my projector with the TSX-R, but want to know if the headlights changed in the different model years etc fogs?

 

Yes as I mentioned above the 08-10 are the same 11-13 are much different including the ballast I just found out...

08-10 have fog yet driving lights above... 11-13 do not its a 194 bulb... the housing 08-10 are chrome on Chrome... 11-13 are black chrome on chrome...

Ballasts on a 08-10 will take any cheap or top quality HID... vs 11-13 wont... found that out the hard way this week... they will only take certain bulbs in that igniter though its a D2S bulb the ballast wont fire a 20-40$ bulb.. burn out my Igniter... bought 2 new igniters for my 12 ouch and 2 Phillips 5k Osram and Bam powered up... infiniti switched to a better ballast the tech said and is touchy on aftermarket hids...

But 11-13 have lower fogs usually now but its a option too vs 8-9 were not...

As for the Lense I think their all the same though some have changed it to that... the tsx lense is optical grade vs the ridged ones in ours... not so clear...

Upper is more like a Driving light on mine vs fog but bulbs are similar just not 2 but one in the newer... the Blk Chrome is one awesome feature but that Amber Strip gotta Gooooo...lol

 

Thanks for all the great info! So optical grade is obviously cleaner and better? I bought Phillips 6000k Ultinons before, but it seems Osram 5000k is same price I know 6000k is blue hue but are they similar quality, what do you recommend, I am gonna get my lenses all retro fitted and love the blue hue at sharp lines.

And there must be newer bulbs or something must have changed besides the ballast for the color to be more white/blue hue like BMW MERCEDES, my 08 looks like yellowish hue and I hate it so, I guess it's a better bulb but really I think the lense had to have been upgraded.
