Unhappy Brand New Moonlight White - Stains - HELP

Just took delivery of a 2013 moonlight white coupe. The car has 14 miles on it. After unwrapping the car, there is yellow staining under the gas door. I am hoping that this is not a paint defect since it has the factory paint on it. It does look like stains of some sort but can't figure it out.

The clear bra installer noticed this after unwrapping the car. Has anyone had this happen before?

It seems that traditional cleaning has no effect. I don't want to start getting invasive on the car since it is brand new. Checking here if you guys have advice / experience on this. See pictures below. Thanks.

Park it in the sun for a day or so, then let us know if the stains are still there. I have the same color and noticed some bird crap that made unwashable yellow stains. They were sun-bleached after about one or two days.

Use a light polish such as Meguiar's Ultimate Polish. Should come right off by hand.

Never use turtle wax compound. Meguiars ultimate compound will take that right off.

x2, Turtle Wax compound is garbage.

The stains are likely very, very light. Seriously will probably take about 2-3 seconds of gentle rubbing to come out. I own a detailing business btw. Also, clay bar will not affect it, clay bars work for anything above the paint, not below. If that makes sense.

x2 on ultimate compound, and surprisingly Target has it for about the cheapest I've found, about $7 a bottle. It'll get it looking right in no time!

Thanks for your suggestions.

After leaving the car in the sun for a couple days. the stains seem a bit darker. Not sure if it's the stain coming to the surface or maybe it's just my eyes.

I tried rubbing alcohol, dabbed nail polish remover, and magic eraser with no luck yet.

Haven't tried any rubbing compound but have meguire's ultimate so may try that.

I mentioned it to the dealership just to hold them accountable but don't want to bring it in yet and have them start messing with it.

Although it looks like it's in the paint, I notice that the texture feels slightly different when I rub my finger over the stains.

I'll keep you posted. I will be very upset if the only option is paint, especially after paying $1900 for clear bra!

I don't want to clay bar it since it is new paint and too invasive.

The FIRST thing you should do is clay bar the thing. Unless you got it shipped straight from the factory it was built in in Japan, you're going to have debris embedded in the paint. A clay bar will take all of that off. What you shouldn't have done is used nail polish remover, rubbing alcohol and a magic eraser.

I HIGHLY suggest you look up automotive paint care 101 since it seems you are not versed in how to properly care for the paint. The Meguire's polish or rubbing compound should have been the FIRST and ONLY thing you tried.

Please don't re-post and tell us you've tried acetone, denatured alcohol or something ludicrous as that. smh...

Whatever you do, don't tell anyone else you tried nail polish remover.
