There isn't pretty much any dealership that knows how to detail a car. You shouldn't let them do anything "detail" wise. Even though its brand new, pretty much all brand new cars have this problem because the dealership honestly does not care. They take it through the drive through car wash and use dirty rags.

Doesn't help your car is malbec black which you can easily see all the imperfections. Detail it yourself, or hire a professional detailer so you'd be happy.

As far as maintenance light..you could have opened up your manual or searched here rather than drive 100 miles just for that.

What you should have done is complained to the GM of the dealership, showed him the damage done to the paint, take the car to a professional detailer an estimate and demand the GM pay for it. The car is mechanically sound so therefore it has nothing to do with the manufacturer. If the dealer messed it up they should pay to have it fixed.
