So got the car back from infiniti today cars fine now I guess but I still want to get rid of it before any other issues arise. The service manager told me I wasn't eligible for a buyback but i'm still gona try to push it through infiniti USA(still waiting on a callback). I also did get to talk to a couple of lawyers some of which said I had a case against the dealership others told me there wasn't really anything I could do. I'm praying Infiniti consumer affairs will have my back on this one.

^What was the problem? Can't believe your looking to sue before you even talk with Infiniti CR.

I'm just preparing for the worst possible scenario. I really hope that it can stay out of court but if it needs to happen then I want to be prepared. I'm just kind of tired of the whole trial and error process of trying to get the car fixed. Its not that I didn't like my car or anything I just expected a higher standard of quality from a car at this price level.

Wouldn't recommend saying that to infiniti, pretty sure that will lower your "buy back" chances .....just my .02

G/L & hope everything works out

I filed a claim with Infiniti USA consumer affairs ..... don't hold your breath, they are on the side of the dealership and frankly appear to be out to protect them all while telling you what you want to hear (up to a point).

Hire an independant damage appraiser. You have to meet the following criteria.
New car has been in the shop 3 or more times within a certain mileage/time.
Also any situation that is either a safety issue, or substantial loss in value.
Warped cylinder head is major, I wouldn't expect the place that ruined your car.
Pay a shop to do a compression rest on the block, you will know hopefully without a full tear down.
If you need additional help, please feel free to pm me.
Vq motors do not like to overheat, I'd bet you will have some issues down the line.
If compression is off, then you got a big repair.,
Good luck with getting straight, new car trouble is a bummer.

Thank you so much I tried telling the service manager this earlier today about the aluminum engine and the warping but he told me it wasn't a big deal. Going to take the advice on the compression test that was a really good idea.

Again any help I can offer to a fellow member.
We have to stick together, worst case if you do have repair without dealers assistance.
If you send the heads to be replaced, you can have the block scanned for microscopic cracks before you re machine anything.

Not sure where you are located, you need a shop that specializes in z/g platform.
Vhr motors are not cheap to fix out of pocket, hold your ground.

Just document all events, do everything in writing.
Again, you can pm me i would be glad to help anyway I can.

Hate crooked car dealers, I'm sure it wasn't intentional.
But damage may have already been done.

If they didn't catch the leak, I wouldn't trust a word from that service manager.
Again good luck, sorry your having issues with your ride.
