regardless if you knew what to expect from a tint job, the shop should, especially with the price you paid for. like the other guys, i only paid around 150 for my tint all around, minus windshield. also, all shops should be able to redo the tint for free if you're unsatisfied with their work. i would at least have them do it one more time, if still unsatisfied ask for your money back and go to a different shop.

I agree with what the others have said. I would definitely take it back and have the tint redone or attempt to get a refund and take it somewhere else to get fixed/redone.

I had a scratch on my driver's side door during installation of my tint from what appeared to be a squeegee or a tool they used to apply the tint. I waited a couple days to ensure that the tint would cure and to see if there was a possibility of it going away. When it didn't, I gave the shop a call and told them it was scratched during installation and they insisted I bring it back in to get it fixed since I wasn't happy.

Especially with everything else that has went wrong (and with you in the shop), I don't know if I would trust them again IMO. It shouldn't matter that it was raining outside for tint either. I had my tint put on in the middle of winter here in CO and didn't have any problems with it curing. I just didn't roll my windows up/down for an extra couple days.

I don't know if they offer this service either, but during my tint install I was given the option of having it laser cut by a computer to ensure a perfect fit on the car and to get right up to the top of the window.

I do have a question for all the other guys tho, I just got my coupe and im getting tints done tuesday. Does the bottom get ****ed up since the windows on the coupes drop. Maybe thats why you have that on the bottom of yours?

I never had any issues w/ tint on my coupe or coupes in general as long as you bring it to the right vendor to install tint.

there are tricks to the trades as I've seen

Definitely a poor tint job. A hair trapped between is unacceptable.

and the tint should be up to the window line and barely have any gap to it.

And honestly if you do go back, you are doing the business a favor. I'm sure the owner of the shop doesn't want to see sloppy work associated with his/her brand. Just another point of view..

I set up an appointment for next week. I'm going to drop it off and give him time to do a good job hopefully. I told him about putting tint behind the brake light and he said he will probably have to take it apart. I'm kind of worried that he's going to damage it.

Has anyone taken their brake light covers off? Is it easily done? I tried googling it but came up with nothing.

I agree with all of the comments, but I have one comment. Most tint shops now use a computer to properly cut the tint for your car, it sounds like this shop, outside of being very expensive, is not using the most up to date technology, hence, the poor fit.

Have it redone.
