2008 or 2009 g37s coupe 6 MT

Hey guys, new member here. I've decided on the g37s coupe as my next car. Im coming from an 05 g35 6mt and a Honda s2000. Now I want to get back in the G again!

Im looking at either an 2008 or 2009 model and just wanted suggestions or any advice.

Is it better to save a little bit of money and go for the 2008 or is the 2009 worth the extra cash?

Any Advice will be much appreciated!

Are there any changes from 2008 to 2009?

In the 6MT, from 08 to 09, only difference that I'm aware of is the went to ***** for the seat heaters instead of a lo-hi switch. I'm not sure if the doors auto lock in the 09, but they do not in the 08. Nice feature to have them lock at 15mph and unlock when you shut off the car.

yeah there are no major differences between 08 and 09 unless you get the AT. the 08 has a 5 speed where the 09 has a 7 speed AT but youre going 6 speed so theres no big difference.

Thanks guys! The 2010 would be out of my budget, Im pushing my luck with the 09 lol! If the only difference is the switch for the heated seats then I think I might go for the 2008.

I can't wait! I test drove one the other day and this car so sick!

Good luck with whatever year you chose. The 10s also have a nicer looking gauge cluster IMO. But for the 08 09 there are very minor differences. I've actually looked into switching the switches from the 08 for the 09 *****, but I don't think it will work.

The heated seat **** really makes no difference, my '13 has the round switch and if it was the flat 08 switch I really wouldn't care.

I like the 08-09 gauges better.

I'd like the '10 high res screen if it had the same UI as 08-09. '10+ UI looks a little strange.

Don't the 09 models have a 'self-healing' paint thinghy that reduces the amount of fine line scratches on the car?

I did some more research and yes the self healing paint was added in 09. Can anyone tell me if it works?
