welcome to the forum!

the only way you can program an FOB would be to take it to a nissan or infiniti dealer and give them your VIN so that they can program it.

the fob key itself i believe can be cut at any locksmith or key maker if you have the original key.

Some locksmiths can program the key as well. But it will cost as much or almost as much as having the dealership do it. Nissan dealer near me charges $99.

Take it to a dealer... They'll do it for FREE.
I had one dead key and one that kept lighting up w/Battery message.
I finally just went to my dealer and they did both while I had a cup of coffee.
Was on road in 15m

It's great that yours was free, but I wouldn't count on all dealerships doing this. Both of the local ones near me wanted $125. I took it to the Nissan dealer 5 minutes away and they charged $99.

Just make sure you bring all your keys when you get them programmed. If you only bring one the others you didnt bring will no longer be programmed.

DO NOT take it to a locksmith, yes, they can do it, but that code is now on their system.

Thats how our cars are stolen!!

I paid $70 for the programming of my key. cost me $125 for the key. I priced a couple dealers in the Phx valley and they were the cheapest and have provided great service.

If a locksmith wanted to steal your car, they dont need to get your code beforehand. They can convert your bcm code to pin code in about 2 seconds.

I live in SoCal, so has anyone found a good dealer to program your fab? I just purchased my car from a used car lot and the other fab is not working with my car.

My dealer charged me
$75 to cut the metal key;
$95 for the key;
$260 to program the key

I'm scared to add it all up and see how much it cost me!!!
So, whatever YOUR dealer will charge you, its a great deal compared to mine!!
