$3000 dollars performance upgrade

I have a 2009 G37S Coupe.

For around $3,000 dollars...
  1. Was wondering what performance upgrades you would do?
  2. What HP gains (engine and to the wheel) would that yield?
  3. What speed gains would that yield?
  4. How would that effect the MPG?

Alright...let me be the first to say..welcome to the forum ! You might want to introduce yourself in the newbie corner.

You've put up two threads that essentially ask the same vague question. I gather that you essentially want to increase your power, but there's a lot of context missing. As it stands currently, your thread is saying, "I want to increase HP, do some research for me and tell me what you find...". That's not going to work. At this point all you're going to get are no responses or responses that won't help you. It would do you good to spend some time combing the forum and doing some research.

Just my opinion...

If you're looking for just hp theres only four things you can really do with that money.

1) High Flow Cats
2) Full Cat back exhaust
3) Cold air intake
4) Tune

I'd say prob +20 - 30 hp and should be negligible on your mpg

I've actually heard that in terms of exhaust - all you really need to negate the most restrictive portion of the flow = cats. I started off with art pipes. doing intakes, exhaust, tune, and then headers.

This is not a G35. You can change the manifold, but I don't think, they sell a spacer for our cars

20 to 30 HP for $3000... Seems like a bad deal to get 10 hp per grand. There's probably a better place to put that money than all in the engine ... Maybe buy an exhaust, intake and some springs or thicker roll bars..

I guess what's your overall goal?

Are those new pastries from hostess?

Because if you're thinking of automotive roll bars....our rides don't come with those OEM

^He's talking about swaybars.

I agree though intake test pipes exhaust and a tune should do it for the engine for that price. otherwise I say do some suspension work. you would get a decent set of coilovers and some good sways for that price.
