My rims are plasti-dipped and i got my grille off and im taking the plasti dip off that too and im going to paint it for real this time and thinking of doing a midnight grille type thing...

Since the chrome will be on the grille and on the emblem i think im going to try to rock the chrome on the bumper for a bit at least till it gets warmer outside. Its about 30 degrees here in new jersey during the day and i dont have a garage to work in so im going to wait till it gets a bit warmer to put the rest of the ipl kit on as well as painting the chrome on the bumper

I think the chrome adds a small classy touch to the front end. But if a more aggressive look is what you're going for then paint them. I left the chrome on mine, since I also left the grill stock. It's all about your taste.

PS about dropping your car. I also live in the northeast and I have dropped my car on eibachs (AWD car). I have had some issues with my car while driving through deeper snow, so if yours is a DD I would recommend saving up on a set of coilovers instead of springs only. Good luck with your G, it's already looking good bro.

The only chrome left on my car is the logo on the front and back and my chrome piece on my trunk...wonder if there's vinyl that comes in the mooonlight white color that I can cover the chrome on the trunk with.

I left mine chrome. I think it balances out the chrome from the grill and emblem.

It works well because you're headlights are no longer chrome!

Also to the OP. Be smart with your money, you said you are a broke college kid! Well that's a good reason not to blow your money on a car that will just get replaced in a few years when you get out of school! Be smart and save and buy something nice when you get out of school and get your self a good paying job! There is going to be a boat load of nice cars out by that time that you can buy! Don't try and impress your friend or people on this board with modding your just to look like everyone who has done the same things! Just my two Cents!! Play it smart!!

Who cares how much the car cost? Some people can actually make plastic-dip look pretty good. Just because they're not modding it to how you would mod your own car who cares? Much better than people putting 22"s on their car or something ridiculous.

Also why would he replace his car in a few years? Maybe if it's a lease vehicle.

To stay on topic. The chrome doesn't bother me to much..I think they look fine even if the headlights are still stock like Tophers car.
