Tachometer RPM Needle Bounce

Hello everyone. I noticed something odd today in my car. When I accelerate lightly (shifting at about 2250 RPM, usually from 4th to 5th and 5th to 6th), the RPM needle bounces a bit (about 100 RPM, down and then up and down to the correct RPM) right after the shift. I do not hear a corresponding change in the engine speed, but that may be because the change in engine speed is not enough to hear a difference. This does not happen when I accelerate hard. What could be wrong?

I noticed this in my 2013 G37XS coupe (7AT). Don't know if its the same for you, but it NEVER happens when I'm using the paddle shifters.. When in D, ill go a bit harder on the throttle and rpms will always jump up a whole bunch, then drop 2-300 rpms. For example ill be cruising at around 35mph @2800 rpm, ill hit the throttle about 1/2 down and keep it consistent, exactly at that position. Rpms will immediately jump to 3500 for a millisecond, drop to 3300 then slowly increase consistently. These numbers are just an example so don't take them literally. Almost looks like the needle is trying to predict me going harder on the throttle, then falls down to what the rpms are actually at.
