Had to revive this thread. I saw an IPL at the gas station the other day and when it took off it sounded so nice. So for those that did the swap where did you get it and how much was the setup? I can't find anything on this...thanks!

Keep a eye out on ebay as they pop up once in a while. I bought a y-pipe, mid pipe and muffler from an ipl owner just to use the muffler. I have an x coupe. I turned around and sold the two pipes to get some money back. I think I paid around 350 for all.

Y pipe and mid pipe are different on a x. Muffler fit fine. Here is a pic of the ipl y pipe and mid pipe.

Tanabe muffler is the best. IMO. Sounds way better than the IPL muffler. The manufactory for the IPL muffler is FUJITSUBO. I compared with both mufflers personally and picked Tanabe at the end.

The manufacturer for all Infiniti OEM systems is also Fujitsubo.
They do make an upgraded 2.5" SS catback exhaust upgrade.
Which I have on my G.

I love the sound of it but I have not found a full catback. I am not paying 800 bucks for mufflers...sorry

How much? You just get it from the dealer? Any sound clips and any hp gains?

It's for sale in the classifieds, waiting for my FI to be finished, before removing.

I bought the Fujitsubo mid-pipe, and muffler locally. The Y-Pipe had to be ordered from Japan.

It's a little beefier than stock Sports exhaust.

I gained over 20HP with this, Stillen Gen3 and an UpRev tune.

Fujitsubo is one of the best. I had the super Ti exhaust on my 350z 10 years ago and loved it! Excellent build quality
