MXP Exhaust for G37: Post Install OP
I really like it.
I was warned that the MXP could sound raspy if I installed it in conjunction with other related mods: intake, test pipes, etc. Based upon the vids I've seen that may be true. But I installed the MXP today on my otherwise stock set up and I'm loving it. I might prefer a slightly 'bassier' sound at high revs, but at what point do I have to admit that I'm trying to make this car sound like it has a V8? The sound, for a V6, is throaty and aggressive while not at the expense of the stock exhaust-sound I liked before - just louder.
It sounds nothing like some kid's tuner Civic. Thank God.

Yea according to the community here, adding test pipes or HFCs (resonated or not) will make the exhaust sound raspy. I have an MXP exhaust too and I think it sounds great with my stock setup! If you want to hear how loud it can be go down a block with tall buildings or a parking garage. Any confined space where the sound can bounce back at you will let you hear how much growl this exhaust really has...
Congrats on your install
