I just got the car and both the driver and passenger interior door handles are pretty scratched up. Here is the polished aluminum piece I am referring too.


Where can I get replacement pieces? Thanks.

 

I know you are new and you haven't read the rules but use the search button. One of our forum member sanded his door handle and it was good as new.

 

Well no offense to you but I did use the search and did not find the answer when I put "Interior Door Handle." This isn't the first forum I have ever been on. I have had other cars so yeah I have been part of a couple of forums. I am not asking "how to sand and paint interior door handles." I am asking where to get the new oem pieces online. I realize I can call an Infiniti dealership but I don't want to get overcharged.

Sand it down or take the ebay caps, I went to the dealership today for warranty work and decided to price out a few interior pieces while i waited. The drivers side door cap came to $73.91 and the Passenger side came to $83.91. The parts guy said dont ask why they are different prices. $64 for both is a steal.

Nibiru, they are scratched because the finish on these parts is very very soft. It is basically impossible not to scratch these up. That being said, a few minutes sanding will give you (1) a better result than stock, and (2) a finish that wont look like crap in a few weeks.

Sanded and finished in one direction to make it look brushed and then clear coated. There are multiple threads, please search and maybe try to use different wording. Thanks OP.

 

I wonder if they make a clear overlay for these handles? Maybe bluebat might make some.

 

You could just wrap it in clear vinyl and trim it to fit, if you got new ones and wanted to prevent it from doing it again. Not a bad idea for B@t though, for those that don't want to trim it themselves.

 

rick@perryinfiniti a vendor on here has them for cheaper than your posted prices. Im thinking 70 to 80 for both shipped possibly

 

If you're still under waranty Infiniti replaces it for free...
