'11 Coupe Sport Bumper on '11 G37x Coupe

Hey guys, I've just recently, in the past few months, been contemplating a G37 purchase and am quite new to this forum. Here's my predicament, I can't purchase the 6MT because another family member doesn't know how to drive stick. It's a real bummer because the 7AT's front fascia just doesn't compare to the aggressive look I like on the 6MT. I've read a lot of threads on 08' conversions but I was wondering if there are any different complications when compared to a conversion on a 11'.

If you want an x, the AWD is only available in 7AT. There is three versions of the front fascia from infiniti, and I believe they are all interchangeable. A base, journey, or x will have the simple 2 vent lower grille. You can get a G37xS (AWD Sport, first year is 2011). which is the same front as the Sport 6MT. You may have seen the new Aero/IPL bumper, which most members seem to like best, and is a very popular mod. It's only available as an IPL or Aero package.

Or just teach the family member to shift. Everyone should know how to shift.

Exactly. My 2012 G37XS has the same sport bumper as the 6MT. Looks great.

Yup my AWD xS looks exactly the same. Except a little higher...If you dont need an X, then I think you can find a RWD Sport Auto? Right?

Oh BTW, why does your family member need to be able to drive your car? Its your car. If you want stick, they can learn.

I loved having stick. Then most people can't or won't try to drive your car. lol

So to answer the OP's question,
If you get the Sport Package in any 7AT, you will have the agressive (sport) bumper

From: Framingham Ma,
I am actual probally the only one who likes the front and will not change it( NON Sport), I have The IPL side and autokits V2 rear diffuser. I look at the front all the time and dont think It needs to be changed.

You can easily swap bumper covers, they're not a whole new bumper. And if you buy an '11 or newer, you can get a G37xS which will have the Sports bumpers not to mention a whole slew of other goodies, most notably huge brakes, and it is truly a performance bargain, as long as you're not going to heavily mod and replace it with even higher performance options. The xS will also have paddle shifters so you can shift it manually. Paddles can be put on any G for about $250, if they are prewired, which most are.

It sounds like you'd prefer 7AT w/ paddles AWD over the 6MT RWD?

And murderedG37s, most Sports are RWD 7AT. All Sports but the xS and the Sport 6MT would fall into that category. Most G's are RWD 7AT. The 6MT, x and the xS gets all the press, but production numbers are highest on RWD 7AT. In Canada, you can't get a RWD 7AT, as only the 6MT, x, and xS variants are now offered.
