Idk...used super car you don't really know what the person did to it before you got it, how they drove it, how they maintained it.

It IS a GT-R though....and those are secksie.
No sir. Why would you do that? For 50K get a M Tree, used c63 amg or wait till they officially release the next gen G. Just hope they put a twin turbo for the IPL series for the G for about 50k. =).

Also, 68k is kinda high but a GT-R shouldn't be you're daily driver. That's where the geo metro comes in. =).

But look where they went? They went to the stealership to get that done. Everyone know they will steal your money.

That's ridiculous! You can get a slightly used M3 for that price and it comes with warranty! Anything that breakdown on the GT-R will cost you an arm and a leg to fix. I'm content with my G

And you know what? Thats Xactly the dilemma that I would have LOL. I'd go GT-R because we can work on any car. My brother and all of his guys are the best mechanics...and cerified (not just handy). So for me, I don't have to fear "maintenance".

Worst case, you pick up the GT-R and drive a beater as your daily... GT-R on weekends.

LOL @ GEO METRO!!!!!!!!

This was just hypothetical though. Used GT-R vs New G37. I'm not personally trying to decide what to do with 50 G's.

I just wanted to spark up an interesting convo on the board.

Sorry, the M3 isn't an option in this JUST FOR FUN scenario. It's just used GT-R vs New G37. The 68k don't even have to be considered here. I've seen lower miles for a similar price.

As far as maintenance being high...this is a recurring comment. I'm starting to think that a lot of you guys don't have good mechanics or something. LOL

The only TRULY expensive maintenance on a car is a transmission, electrical, or engine issue in my opinion.

i was on the gt-r forums today just looking at the diy section. they had a whole bunch of stuff in there.

i personally wouldn't be bringing my car to the stealership for that tranny oil change when i could diy it for like $250 AT THE VERY MOST.

Exactly!!!

Not to mention that Im pretty sure no oil company refines, blends, and sells oil/hydraulic fluid JUST for the GTR. Mercedes tried the same trick with their Pentosin Hydraulic fluid that costs between $60-$80 form the dealer but $24 from Napa.

You just have to do a little research and find out what oil/fluid it is.

This.

I love the GTR performance but I like the luxury feel of the G37.

Modding the G37 would give you the best of both worlds.. Wouldn't be right on par with a GTR with overall handling/performance for track but it would be close enough for my liking!!

Maybe thats why the previous owner got rid of it, he was bout to hit the major maintenance and couldn't afford it so he got rid of it.
