Started playing with Mr. Plasti

It started raining so I had to cut the project short but this is how it looks so far. Loving this plasti dip stuff, so easy to remove! What do you guys think about plasti dipping the mirror covers?

Read a couple of forums on this plasti dip stuff. Urs look clean. I'm kind of iffy about it tho. Ive been thinkin of doing decals, grille, and my stock rims either plasti or powder coat. Herd powercoatin is kind of expensive tho, rather save the money. Dnt want a my g lookin cheap.
Are u doing anything else on urs?

Honestly, what I would say is plasti dip your rims because once you start on your rims, you'll just want a new set of rims anyway so you would have wasted like $500 getting them powder coated which could have gone to a new set.

I feel like the plasti dip work looks WAAAAY better in person. I've already had a few people compliment the "paint job".

Hate the grille myself, just playing around with plasti dip before I swap it out with an oem and paint it black this summer.

Just fair warning, you'll get bashed by using plastidip. For your particular application, I say debadge the "INFINITI" and "G37S" as opposed to dipping. I'm also not a fan of the front grills but it's your car.

LOL at "bashed". You mean people will have an ... OPINION? As long as the OP likes it, thats all that matters.

I can see taking the "Infiniti" off because it's redundant. But some people pay good money to get a "G37s"...never understood the interest in taking it OFF! lol

I don't think people will bash him for using plastidip. His car, he can do what he likes with it. Plastidip looks really good in some applications and not so good with others. People should have opinions how it looks, not how people make those parts.

Honestly, I like how it looks. As everyone else said though...grille has to go.

Plasti dip may not be the "best" solution but how are you going to argue with 6 bucks for a large(ish) can?!?! It's dirt cheap and removable. Great way to see how a more permanent paint solution might look.

Anyways, thanks guys! Honestly it's pretty hard to tell that it's not paint and pictures just don't do it justice.

Again, grille came with the car, it will go once I find someone selling one LOCALLY. I posted in the classifieds and kept bumping it but apparently nobody is selling one around here which is surprising since NYC is such a huge place. Anyways thanks for the opinions.

I'll post more pics after it's complete, including the little trunk chrome piece. I do want to debadge but I'm holding off on it for a bit till I get more mods on there so it'll look cleaner.

Talk to 180Custom. They should be local..but it depends on your definition of local.
I say don't debadge the "G37S", just the "INFINITI". The car looks much cleaner without it.

What I'm actually thinking is debadging the "INFINITI" and the mt. fuji for an even cleaner look and keeping black "G37" and the red S.

180custom isn't too far out however their prices aren't worth it to me for something such as the grille. I'd go to them for headlights since that requires a bit more care.
