plus: carefully look for black spots on painted wheels (warranty, I had all four replaced); make sure computer was updated to avoid dangerous rpm surge and dieseling issue.

How exactly can you check if the computer was updated?

I'm surprised so many of you said battery. They usually put crap batteries in all new cars and by the time they're 4 years old, they're all replaced. Maybe that's different in southern states without the cold cycles.

It's not a beamer, you should have some good low maintenance life left in it.

My factory warranty has already ran out. Is there an extended warranty that I can purchase to fix all these "cosmetic" issues? Thx

Interior annoying noises (squeaking, rattling, etc.) and window popping are the only ones I've had. Most are fixable though.

These are just some problems people have...well not really problems, they're more of annoyances. Not everyone has all of these problems. You could end up with 1, 2, or none of these issues. Personally the gas not filling is really annoying for me but there are "service bulletins" out for all of these issues.

Chances are the previous owner may have got most of these issues fixed or if you are still under warranty you can get them fixed for free. The seat bubbling really annoys a lot of people but personally I think the pros outweigh the cons. Awesome to see you choosing such an awesome car, hope you get it and enjoy it!

Protip: Get the sport
I just got my 08 G37 S coupe back from the Infiniti dealership.
They replaced my brakes and rotors turned under warranty for squeaking when reversing.
I had my muffler replaced under warranty for rattling.
I had steering buttons and panel replaced-- it was scratched and wearing fast.
They replaced the fuel sensors-- fuel gauge did not read full after gas fill up.

issues

i bought and 08 3 months ago and brakes were doing the same thing i have a 100 day unlimited warranty and made the dealer replace the brakes and all is good..... no more noise

other than that make sure you don't let bird **** stay on the car for more than a couple of day because it could hurt the clear coat and always be seen until you get it buffed out

Front brakes squeak

Is there any way to fix the squeaking of the front brakes when reversing at low speed?

I have a 2008 G37 and water comes in behind the glove box every time i go through the car wash or when it rains and I am parked in my driveway. Dealer said it was a design flaw and wouldn't do anything to correct it.

Very disappointed and will never purchase another Infiniti.

My ’08 coupe has never had such leaks in nearly eight years and I go through car washes regularly. Perhaps your dealer is just shinning you off.

i can't imagine this is a common problem?? this is the first i've heard/read about the problem. to me looks like the dealer is not being helpful and i would have tried a different dealership.

I have an '08 Sport and have the same issues stated below. They are mostly cosmetic and easy to fix.....I've had a BMW in the past and these issues are nothing compared to the Bimmer's!

Nada. No issues, 98k. Since the day I got the keys. I also keep everything up to speed dealership wise. And anything that may need repairs. Been fantastic.

This next owner will be in damn good shape.
