Oh...really? $54k?

So apparently a new 328i's (f30), with a 4lit turbo, price can go up to $54k... this seems a little overpriced compared to G37's spec and price ($45 -47k). I can't imagine how much a 335i would cost, perhaps $60-65K ?? Whatchu guys think a new 3 series? Would the 3rd gen G37 have a similar price range as F30?

This really isn't a shocker. It's like comparing the IPL. IPL can go up to 50k? Who would want to pay 50k for a car that just has upgraded body kit, exhauts, and a slight tune from a regular g37?

I drove the new 328i and I must say BMW really stepped up their game as the interior. It made me get a little jelly looking at the options that they had. Also, the 328i can get big gains just from a tune. Once again due to it coming with an turbo. Also, if I were to get a bmw I would get a 335i and tune it cause it is proven that you can gain between 50-70 just on a tune alone and if you do that you would be faster then a m3. I give where credit is due and all the credit in the world goes to bmw cause they are blowing away are G every year.

Thing about BMW is that everything is a freakin' option.

Our cars come pretty well equipped as base.

You start adding a few things to BMWs and their prices jump dramatically.

Thats a fully loaded everything 328.
Just as a fully loaded everything G37 IPL can go up to $57,000 with taxes depending on your state.
The G37 6MT prices went up in 2012 from my 09
I'm sure the next body G will cost more also.

^ What he said. My cousin has an 07 328i and they would come with nothing on the base model. "Oh you want seats in your car? That's an extra $3k. Wait, you want doors, that's $2k, plus $500 labor.".....you know what I mean.

I have a base model 08, and I think that the features that come with it are perfect. I'm happy with no voice connect/bluetooth option, I don't need the buttons cluttering my steering wheel. We got the good stuff.

Anyways...for 10-15k more you can get a few year old GT-R!

This is so true. My co-worker did this on his 335i last year once the warranty ran out. He's been spanking me ever since :P though he does complain about how my interior is way better than his and didnt cost me an arm and a leg (he has an 07).

Another guy chimed in from the netherlands and said his 328 not fully loaded was 75K. that is ridiculous.... I would never

It is a shocker to me because I still consider G37 is superior to "328i" in terms of performance and value (reliability, resale value, and such). In fact, I consider the superiority in this order personally (no offense): 335is > 335i > IPL > G37 > 328i > G25. Being that said, OTD $47k fully loaded G37S (referring to mine) vs. 54k fully loaded 328i does not sound right to me IMO. This is why I love my G37, best bang for the buck!

So funny to hear about the stuff they deal with.

Infiniti has HIDs on all their cars, yet these guys need to purchase a special package just to be able to buy the $900 option.

Well that's the thing. How many of us are that stupid to buy a fully loaded 328i? You might as well get a 335i and be faster.

But as for G37 being better then a 328i. You will be very shocked of how much power that engine is going to make with a $200-$300 dollar tune. Now the interior is WAY WAY better then the previous generation. That's why unless Infiniti starts offering some kind of crazy interior like all around view of the car like the SUV's then I'm sure a lot of Infiniti owners are going to be leaving soon for the Beamer. Now their are beamer bandwagoners like how their are Infiniti bandwagners but as for me I try to find a car that is the best bang for the buck. Hence why I got my G37 back in 08 when I was shopping for a car.
