Do you guys shave the whole thing off or just trim the screw and bolt?
If shaved completely off what is holding up the rear bumper?
I don't think 3m tape will hold up to extreme heat or 150mph speeds will it?

well to be honest you dont even need the 3m tape. I once backed up my exhaust into a parking wheel stopper (what ever its called) and that broke the clip on my bumper that connects with the bracket. That was over a year ago now and all i did was push it back and didnt even worry about the bolt. Never had any problems.

Basically you dremmel it all around the screw, so its still being held up but that other worthless tab that is sticking out is all gone.

Dremel took awhile for me so I used the next best tool I had which was an oscillating tool and took out an L shape size right before the tab area followed by filing. No more rubbing for me.

This thread sounds like something I need(tires rub on deep dips)...but I'm not quite sure I follow LOL.

Is this bracket the main component inside the wheel well that causes that dreadful scuffing? I was just going to get smaller tires when these wear out lol.

yes this and the fender liner are the 2 typical things that cause the rubbing on our cars. I completely shaved my bumper bracket and left a little room for a pop rivet and trimmed the fender liner back about 2-3 inches. Worked like a charm. I cant get my pinky finger between my rear tire and my fener.

Thanks for the clarity, bro! Car looks good, too.

Anyone have a shop to recommend that can do this along with a fender roll? And price range?
