Max miles for a used G37x coupe
Max miles for a used G37x coupe
I am currently in the market for a 2009-2010 G37x coupe. In your opinions what is the max amount of miles that you would still purchase a used 37x and still be confident that it will be very reliable and overall a great mechanical conditioned car.

This is quite a subjective question. Rule of thumb is that most issues begin to crop up as the vehicle approaches 100K - given regular maintenance has been performed and car has not been abused. A 2009 model car is considered 3 model years old at this point, so figure typical mileage of 36-45K miles.
To answer your question, I'd say anything under 50K should be a good investment. It helps to compare the competition too. Consider two 2009 g37x's, one with 36K miles, one with 45K miles (12K/yr vs 15K/yr). If the price difference between the two is only a few thousand, i'd most definitely go for the one with the lower mileage.
Having maintenance records or logs to show what's been done is helpful too. If the car with the lower miles has only had the bare necessities done - oil change every 5-7K, brakes never touched (not even bled/fluhed), etc, but the higher mileage car has had everything done and more, and with shorter intervals between service, it's clearly the better of the two vehicles and should provide more trouble free run time than the other.
Then there's the unknown. Are you buying someone else's troubles. This point bothers me to the point that I rather take a significant depreciation loss and buy new.

Warranties for basic coverage are 60k and Powertrain for 70k. People generally get something fixed if it breaks and it's covered. Warranties should be transferable unless it is a S-title or another title blemish, which I wouldn't consider buying anyway. Someone may run it 20k miles between oil changes and it could be messed up in no time. It seems like these cars can go over 200k, but that's only with proper use and maintenance. Your best bet is a thorough professional inspection and investigating service logs if possible. Look up a used car check list and try to diagnose issues yourself as well. If you're really concerned, consider buying an after-market warranty purchased on the web. I believe most will cover cars that are not over 150k.
Good Luck.
