At first I bothered me but I learn to live with it so not that much of an issue about to me any longer. Only happens when I raise the left arm up to a certain level which I rarely do to cause it. I wouldn't let this seatbelt dilemma sway you away from buying an overall awsum car

I really don't think this is a safety issue. Comfort issue yes.
OIC what you did there, I use to have a seatbelt pad in my GSR too and yes its very comfy...

Just picked up my g coupe two weeks ago. Fiancés mom used our suv for the weekend so she gave me her 2011 37x sedan 3days later I drove an hour and a half away and bought a coupe first thing I noticed on ride home seat belt sucks! But unlike my 08 tl type s I traded for our 08 Mdx the g does not have an annoying beeping that keeps telling you your belt is not on so that was my fix for now not to safe but until someone figures this out that's all I got

I notice you guys all mention you're height of 5'5 or more and having this prob....i think its the seat beat itself. Im 4'11 and the seat beat cuts me at the neck and chin. Even if i tried adjusting the height or how far back i can go with the seat. It still cuts me. I just pull it under and put my arms over it...so it sorta strapping my side and chest instead.

I am not that short (5'8), so I am surprised to have this problem. Even raising the seat doesn't help that much.

Has anyone encountered this problem and fixed it in a safe way?

Thanks!
Been using these since my first G Coupe:

This post reminds me of the two (and only two) things that I miss from the 3 series:
1. seatbelt "presenter"
2. lane change signal repeater

6'1" here, and I don't even pay attention to it. No issue for me.

6'1 and same issue. I push the arm down usually but I feel like the problem is actually with the seatbelt latch near your right hip where you clip in the buckle. It sticks up entirely too high so its not snug against my waist. I feel like its made for very "robust" people who would have a hard time getting it around their waist. For me this ends up making the belt stick in the air at an awkward angle and cut into my neck.

Someone sent me a PM remind me that I never update this thread with my results.

I found a solution that works for me. It has some minor annoyances, but after a few months I don't even notice it anymore.

I'm using:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...00_i00_details

Annoyances:

Getting it on the first time is a bit tricky. Pay special attention to the diagrams.

It stays on, but it works by latching the top part of the seatbelt with the bottom part. You have to undo this each time you unbuckle your seatbelt. If you don't..chaos occurs.

Fortunately, this is a really simple thing to do. I do it one-handed now without thinking and no one that has riden with me has even noticed it.

The only other annoyance is that at first you have to play with it a bit to find a comfortable spot.

Overall though...very worth it. The seatbelt was a dealbreaker for me, but now I love my G.
