Also, will i get in trouble by being over my oil change since I am at 4000 miles?

Thanks!
You do not need anyone to sign off on an oil change. Some dealers will give you a book that shows when each oil change is needed and they have a place to stamp when the work is completed. This is just a ploy to make you think you have to use the dealer. The normal oil change on the G37 is 7,500 miles. The only reason to change oil at 3,500 miles is if you "primarily" operate your G under one or more of the listed severe conditions.

I'd still do the initial oil change at under 2K miles. Good opportunity to switch to synthetic too.
