50 Thousand mile report
Well after 50K I love this car, still...
I have no problems except that windshield area clicking noise that started a couple of weeks ago. I will take care of that soon since we know what that is now. The engine is better than day one, it must be broken in now and feels very strong, the mileage is averaging about 24MPG and I drive like a mad man sometimes although I'm just having fun. I can get it to 27MPG with no problem if I want. (sorry AT owners, the MT is much more efficient).
I have changed the front and rear brake pads and am running Royal Purple faithfully. I am on my second set of tires and they are holding up well since I went with good all season performance tires instead of the sport summer tires the car came with. I'm extremely happy with that decision, especially in the hard rain...
I installed a Stillin Stage-3 intake system which helped the power, mileage and sound, but besides that the car is stock.
I don't really have much to report except, I love the car! Dang, I said that already. I plan to keep it and maybe install the Stillin supercharger next year. I will probably buy another G after the next update comes out and has been sold a year or two. I see no reason to get rid of this car, although I love to look around and occasionally test drive something.
I was really impressed with the new Ford Shelby GT500 but I can get that power with the Stillin kit and after taking a good hard look at the car, it's just another Mustang body on the road. I also like the BMW M3 and the 335I, but the price is unjustified and my past experience with BMW was not good. Too much shop time.
This Infiniti has only been in for service other than maintenance once with the transmission stuck in 5th. I believe it had about 6000 miles at that time and I was given a nice loaner while Clear Lake Infiniti in Texas replaced the transmission with a NEW one. The service was great, the car came back perfect and has been flawless ever since.
I'm very happy with my G! I hope every one of you is as happy with their G as I am with mine. Everyewhere I go, people like the car, everyone who rides, loves it.
Looking forward to the next 50K!

I need to search again but there is a fix on this site somewhere... It's caused by a plastic piece on bottom front of windshield. I guess it's the plastic hitting the glass sometimes. I belive I read you have to remove and silicon it back down and no more noise.
I'll search and post the link later unless someone beats me to it. It's not a big deal to me and barely noticeable. The car is quiet inside except for that occasional noise and I only can hear it when I'm on the phone so the music is not playing. It has to be pretty quiet to hear that clicking.

Dang I can't find the "Clicking" fix I read awhile back...
I found this which describes what I hear: https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-in...-interior.html
I don't think this is the cause of the clicking, I believe it is the windshield fix I read about but I searched and see nothing...
Can anyone help with that? Am I just blind or did I dream I read about the clicking fix? Alzheimer's? Some-timer's? LOL

I had the same clicking noise from the windshield and i got a huge rock chip in the glass and had to get a new windsheild and that seemed to fixed the clicking sound. i think its the stock windshield that had the problem, it might be the glue they used.... i dunno

The noise is coming from the windshield cowl. My '11 coupe started getting that sound when it got cold outside. Dealer put a strip of 3M insulation in there and that solved the problem.
I wonder if there is a DIY for that somewhere? I can/t find it yet and I looked but don't see an easy way to get anything under there without just carefully prying it up and working the stripping underneath... Looks like to properly remove that the hood would need to come off. I'm not opposed to doing that but wish I didn't have to.
