my G37 was apparently hit and ran last night...
so i walked out of my apartment this morning and was greeted with this. some of the bigger scratches definitely need paint. theres also a scratch on the other side of the wheel out of the picture. sucks considering i just bought the car two weeks ago...
i brought it to baugh auto body here in richmond and was quoted at $1327...seems ridiculously steep, so i decided to call my insurance instead of paying out of pocket as i originally intended.
my insurance company (21st century) said that as long as it is deemed that it's not my fault my premium won't be affected, and that if the adjuster decides the claim can be filed under uninsured motorist/property then there would be no deductible to pay either. obviously this is my goal. if not i'll be stuck with a $500 deductible if it's filed under collision, even if i'm not at fault.
any tips on where to get the work done or how i can properly handle the insurance claim/adjuster would be appreciated!

ask your area if there are any cameras, if not its on the adjuster. He will look at where your car is or was parked and things of that nature. Also look around an see if some one as a nice scrach on there front bumper cause thats what it looks like it was

Uninsured motorist does not apply to hit and run, unless the offender is found, and without insurance. Been there!!

what an @sshole. I'd be inspecting every car in that parking lot that has bumper damage and bringing them the business.
In any case, I hope you can get your claim. I'm betting they'll have to strip it down, fix any dents, repaint it, and blend the paint in with the rest of that side. You have black so it'll be easier to match. GL

More then likely, that ride that hit him will not return for awhile. Even so the scratches seem somewhat light and you will have a hard time considering tthe paint probably didn't transfer.
The quarter panel is the worst place for a dent because you would have to pull/knock and body fill. Can't necessarily replace the part and paint. And painting the quarter panel a paint affair all itself.
Price seems a bit high but I see that as average. Good luck op but I would rather pay 500 then the full cost if the adjuster doesn't see it how it happened
