Review: Autokits V1 Diffuser - With pics!
looks good. their is more and more blue slate g's, i like it. My exhaust tip is real close to my diffuser on the right side too. i think its like that for everyone who changes their exhaust. maybe even the stock setup too. keep up the good work. any other plans for your car?

I'm thinking the CV1's from Vossen!
Really? I didn't realize that Blue Slate was such a hit on this forum, as I rarely see any. I fell in love with it personally, especially after seeing the car in person.

Thanks, man.
Blue Slate is a great color. I live in northern Virginia, and one hardly ever sees bright, attractive colors on cars here...not even in dealership lots, unless you are shopping for Corvettes, Camaros or Challengers. People in this area seem to mostly opt for some shade of gray, especially on "luxo" cars like Infinitis, BMWs, and Mercs.
I think I have seen 2 red G37s and 1 blue G37s since 2008, when they first came out. All the rest have been one of the various silver paint jobs. I've seen a few black ones, but not many in comparison to the gray ones.
I have a Platinum Graphite G37 myself, though I wish it were blue or red. Sporty colors on sports cars don't seem to sell well in this area, and the dealerships know this, and order their stock accordingly. It sucks.
Last month my wife and I went to the local BMW dealer to look at a 3 series for her. Of all the 3s in the lot, two were white, one was a putrid green (if you saw it in person, you would definitely *not* wonder why it remained unsold; it was that repulsive), a few were black, and the rest either light silver, dark gray, or dark blue. There was only one 3 in that amazing bright blue color, and it was their only M3 -- a sedan, no less -- in stock.
So, yeah, I'm really jealous of your gorgeous Blue Slate paint, you lucky bastard.

Ahahaha. Oh, man. I agree, that does kinda suck. I love the Blue on M3's and even the Blue that the G37 comes in. I rarely see those and they are very striking in person. I'm also a fan of the 3-series. Did you guys pick up like a 328i? How do you like it compared to the G, you and your wife?
The carbon fiber suits the Blue Slate very nicely, I think. It's not too obvious and still has presence. I love it.
your rear differential has that plugin/motor thingy that tells you right off the bat that you have 4WAS..mine had the same..search other coupe pics and you will find many dont have that piece..time to bust out your car sticker and see what options you really have
You're completely right about that, man! I just ran the VIN across the dealer and they confirmed that it does have it. Thanks for the heads up! I had no idea it did, because I bought it used and the guy wasn't able to tell me exactly.
I feel all kool now.
(Yes, i know it's not much use).

As much as we like the G37, I have to say I like the BMW better. It has a road feel like no other car I've driven. You feel so planted on the road.
I think BMW underrates the HP in it at 330 -- it feels like 360 or more. The G and 335is weigh about the same, but I think the 335 will smoke the G in every department. That turbo and the dual-clutch tranny are really a good fit to one another. Yes, it's an auto
but what an auto it is!
She ended up with a 335is coupe, metallic black with black interior, blackout trim around the windows, black kidneys. Split-spoke 5 spoke wheels in anthracite, but right now it's wearing a set of Bremmer BR03's with snow tires. Bremmers are machined alloy faces on the spokes, with gray between the spokes and the inside of the wheel. The car looks absolutely killer.

Goodness, man. That is amazing. I would swap my G for a 335iS in a heartbeat, honestly--as much as I love the G. I've driven two 335i's and they are amazing. The torque on the regular one felt beastly, and an extra 30/20 for the iS? That's bomb. Especially the dual-clutch. Your wife is a lucky woman! I agree with how you described it. I'm thinking of saving up a little piggy bank and then getting a 335i (with warranty, of course) in time. Congrats on the buy!

I need to make a video so you can see the CF mirrors come into play as well.
