Bumper Change+Led

So I have a 08 G37 journey. Been contemplating for a while having the front bumper swapped for a 2011 g37 sport bumper or even the ipl bumper. Noticed some have found a good price of 238 +150 for shipping on orderinfinitiparts.com. Im pretty sure tht whole process wont be much of a problem, however my concern comes with the fog lights. Obviously Id have to purchase those separately for installation. I however am not too much a fan of the fog lights. Any one know of any inserts to be inputed into the fittings? Im thinking of going the route of putting led strips in place of the fogs. Thoughts/concerns/suggestions are welcome. Thanks

You can get the Aero package front bumper that was an option in '08. It has the same exact bumper that comes on the IPL, but it won't have any fogs, thus, you can keep your stock setup without any pain. I'd recommend doing that if you can find it. I've double-checked this at the dealer before: The '08 Aero will look just like IPL, only no fogs, which is what you need.

Call infinitiparts.com and see what they say. If not, your only option will be dealer, but it'll come painted and everything. A little pricey, though.

OP, there are a couple threads on this already...specifically the two bumper swap threads I have made. The Anniversary bumper is the bumper without fogs and that was offered in 2010. The bumper comes painted in all colors that were offered that year. The bumper comes without fog lights holes in the lower grilles and it will be a direct fit. It is around $1400 or so.

Now in 2011 they started to offer the aerodynamic package bumper which comes with lower grilles that have holes for fog lights. These bumpers also come painted in any color offered in 2011. The price of these bumpers are $283+150 or so shipping. With this bumper you will also need fogs, pigtails, washer fluid tank for 2011 coupes as well.

The sport bumper swap is the most expensive swap and requires painting. Total cost on that is around 1400+..

Thanks for the help. I was looking around for the "08 aero package" these fellas were talking about but came up with nothing. I think Ill go the 2nd route you mentioned. WHen you mention pigtails, can you explain what that is exactly? Not going to act like Im up on the lingo. Just to give you an idea of what I mean with the led lights, ive posted a pic of a c class benz with something similar. No im not trying to bop mercedes, just think its an interesting concept that Im not aware if anyone on here has really delved into. My only issue is finding a way to get rid of those fog light holes. If there are any suggestions on that as well, please feel free to share.

Yeah thats the look I had been thinking about. Looks great. Only thing is, I was looking to implement that look on the Aero bumpers but doesnt look possible with the fog light holes.

The aero bumper doesn't have the fog holes.....The IPL bumper does. You can get the IPL bumper cheaper, and then order the faux vents from the aero bumper. Its all explained in Pcasey's thread I do believe
