Looking at used 08 G37, have some questions

I recently landed a new job, so I am thinking to trade in my 08 Jetta 2.5 SE for a non sport 08 G37 Coupe. I am located in Tustin Ranch, CA. The local dealership 1 mile away has several. The one I am looking at Used 2008 Infiniti G37 Coupe Journey (White Car) Tustin

I am planing to go look at it tomorrow and maybe test drive it. At this mileage, what short of issues would I be looking it. Also what price point do you think I can haggle them or at least use as a starting point. Anyone other info or advice would be grateful as well.

Wow, only 32K miles on an '08? That's really low.

The pictures look like it's really clean. Typical things you will find from normal use will be scratched door handles and shifter **** trim, and the infamous muffler exhaust rattle. Unless, of course, the previous owner had those items replaced under warranty.

'08s also had a problem develop at around 50K miles where the engine would rev up to about 1500 RPM when pulling into a parking space or in low-speed traffic. This can be fixed by a TSB by an Infiniti dealer if it hasn't been done already.

'08s had a Compact Flash slot in the dash. It was replaced by a USB port in later models. I never saw the value in it. It may also have a feature called "Music Box" which lets you rip CDs to an internal 10 GB hard drive. Again, seems pretty useless, especially if it has iPod integration.

Other than those things, overall, my '08 has been a really good, dependable car. But, as always, caveat emptor! Do a CarFax on it.

HMmm...

Some things that I should have look upon when i bought mine used too.
- Basic things such as looking under the hood to see if there's any repairs done to it.
- Under the driver/passenger seat to see if there's any wires dangling around... in case the previous driver did electrical mods to it.. Look deeply enough to double check. (I didn't and I found a navigation hack module under the transmission **** panel)
- Look under the car to see if there's any scrappings or any sort of damage.
- While driving, go over bumps at speed... to determine if the susp's good.
- Look CAREFULLY at the paint. (It was sunny that day, and it looks SO perfect. But once i got it home in my garage, all rock chips started to show on front bumper and hood... == And it has quite an amount)

Just pay close attention to all the little details that can and will give away how the car was treated. The interior condition will always tell you how the overall car was treated. If it's trash, who's to say that the entire car wasn't trashed? Looks like a reasonable price for year/mileage, although make it an even 25k when you take it, if so. If it's the non-Sport, they should be able to cut down a bit. If you have anyone you know that is car-handy, TAKE THEM WITH YOU. When a person knows the car isn't for him, he will be able to point out the negatives easier than you yourself, provided he knows anything about cars. Mostly, it's just common sense, man. Don't rush or don't jump in. The car will be there tomorrow, it'll most likely be there still in a week. Test drive it, explore it, see what you find.

Good luck.

Usually the interior of the 08 models get scratched easily such as the door handle grips, steering wheel, and shift ****. But based on those pictures, the interior looks pretty clean. Many people here have seat bubbling/stretching issues with the seats, but the seats in that car seems to be in perfect condition. Btw, I see scratch/scuff marks at the bottom of the front bumper for the second picture.
