Tint advice needed...
yeah, i can tell you that having 35% on a car really doesn't affect your visibility whatsoever. i don't think i could ever use that as an excuse for hitting/not seeing anything.
once again, i'm not sure what the miscommunication is here. 35% tint does not adversely affect my vision while driving my car, even at night. i'm not sure how else you'd like me to tell you this, i speak spanish as well as english but past that i don't know how else i can break that sentence down for you...

For the record, in case it isn't obvious, the percentage of the dye has no affect on the heat resistance of the film. I realize this thread is specific to the aesthetics of the car.
Fwiw, I got 25% (legal limit in Texas) and I feel like it's too light sometimes, but then at night I can't imagine having gone much darker than that. My rear windshield is 2% and I've been starting to think that was too dark... It looks so sexy though.

you guys crack me up. lol
i have 35% as well(dealer puts it on all infinits)..and its darker...but it does not inhibit me to see objects at night or during the day.
my BMW before the G had 18% all the way around..and at night sometimes i was hard to see certain things...but i was fine
35 is legal in NC and its a pain int he a** to find a shop to pass your inspection with illegal tint.
plus cops around here LOVE to write out tint tickets.

What ever you decide on, keep in mind that the windows already have a tint that blocks approximately 7% of light. If you go with 35% tint, it will check out as approximately 28%.
They are pretty lax in Florida as far as tinted windows, but the actual law is no more then 35% on the front two windows.
I had the guy, that was installing the film, use his gauge to check the before and after results.
The fronts I put 35% and the rears and back window 20%. When he checked after putting the film on it was 28% and 13%.
So keep in mind it wont matter what percentage film you put on, it will only matter to the police what their gauge shows.
The reason I went with a lighter on the front windows was for my night vision on dark streets. Just a lot easier for me to read addresses and streets signs on dimly lit streets.

My last car had 14% all around. I was constantly worried about getting pulled over. Every time I saw a cop, I would have to put my windows down. And at $100 a ticket (in Virginia), I have decided to never go illegal tint again after getting FIVE tint citations.
My advice, get 50% up front, 35% in the rear and actually enjoy driving your car around without having to worry about getting a $100 ticket. I may not be the norm (with 5 tickets), but I am a potential outcome of having illegal tint.

35% all the way around except the windshield.
Looks great. I wouldn't like it any darker though. It is a bitch seeing out the side windows at night as it is now. I mean driving fast straight is fun but I like to turn without running to stuff as well.

35% means it is cutting out 65% of light...that means it will affect your vision...there is no way anyone can say it does not affect your vision. Unless your eyes are different than the human eye.
Stop being pansies... 5% all around with 35% on the windshield FTW!!
