Advice/opinion needed, would you trade it?

The transmission is slow. Car feels heavy.
Mustangs...I had a V6 2008 and a GT 2009.
Torque is good ,extremely poor handling, dangerous car. Outdated conception.

I'm with you, I love the Vette and think its an awesome machine.. just wouldn't put it under exotic that's all.

I have to say, although I do agree that the Vette is not an exotic by any means, the car that the OP has bought, to me, seems like a pretty good trade. Although 40k? I don't know. In this case, if the OP is happy with the Vette, it was a good decision for him. Personally, I think the car looks pretty tight with the kit and the wheels. I'm completely not fond of the interior, however. An interior is one of thee deciding factors in a car for me, but still, with the amount of fun and speed you get with this beast, I'd have a Vette like this myself!
Congrats on the car, OP. I like it.

Those are the crappy years. 2011 and above is when the Mustangs got A LOT better. They even achieve higher track times than the G37 coupe.

I sold the G because I was moving abroad for a year, so right now I have no car
In terms of what I'll buy when I get back...E92 M3 is the front-runner right now, although I have concerns about reliability. I'm also hoping there will be some exciting new options by then like the RS3 sedan if that makes it to the states, or the next iteration of the IPL G coupe if they make it a true M competitor.

The most unfortunate thing about the M's and the RS' is their horrible unreliability on average. This is what makes me stick to the Japanese, although I'd still probably want the German goodness. That's unless the new G comes out kickin' them right in the face.

Yup and Ford knows how to make them achieve that speed with a good price. A V6 Mustang goes for like 19,000$.. A GT is about 27k .. A g37 coupe out the door is almost 48,000 $ brand new... that is why you see the Mustang everywhere haha
