budget body kits

hello everyone, new G owner here. First I want to say how great this website is and especially its supportive members.

now on to topic. does any one know where i can purchase cheap knockoff body kits for the 2008 G37 in california? Yes, I'm talking straight up plastic. I want to see how it looks on my car before I decide to purchase the real ones.

I apologize if this sounds sacrilege. i don't mean to disrespect anyone or manufacture. Thanks for any info!

Not only would you save yourself some time and money, but it would also be more logical to just head out to a G meet and check the kits out on someone else's (similar) car...

There are TONS of pics on this forum. Search for them and decide which route you want to go. Don't waste your money buying knock-offs, then real ones.

We don't have many options to choose from.... There's jp visage, top secret, stillen lip or splitter, hikkatadori, zele. And for rest bumpers there's topsecret and hikkatadori and the aero kit from what I know. The top secret replica is AIT which many members here are running.

i forgot to mention that i have buddy who's pretty good at wrapping di-noc. I'll post pics whenever i have them done maybe in a few weeks or so.

Buy the real thing, man. Support the innovators of the industry. Not to mention your car will be gone for a while because those parts can't fit worth a damn.

What really sucks about buying the real stuff is not just the money and wait, but you can also run into bull**** like this:

I can also post all the threads showing how crappy the fitment on replicas are. Autokits is of original design and so is JP. Inexpensive ways of having originally designed body parts.

like most members here agree... you get what you pay for... if you want cheap parts, dont expect them to fit well or have correct paint finish.. just sayin

I'm not arguing this, as I have a seibon hood with less than perfect fitment. All I'm saying is that going original can be more of a headache than most people are willing to handle. That guy on the link I posted bought a $1800 TS diffuser just to get jerked around for 9 months now.

Nothing is more sick than a ride full of authentic JDM stuff, but if someone wants a cheap AIT body kit then I'm not gonna hate on that. To each their own.
