MW 2011 G37S just been delivered!

Just took delivery of my new G37 Coupe 2011.

I'm thinking of going for a Smoked/Shadow look, will post details as I go along.

Question: How do you recommend I break her in? I received the car with 34km on the clock already, I'm worried some retard has hammered in while "testing" it already.

Also, I went to a body shop earlier and the guy working there said he doesn't recommend opening the headlights to paint the housing - he said this will fail after 3-6 months with humidity because they don't have the necessary ovens to re-seal it in this country. He can do it for me but wouldn't give a warranty at all for it. He said he would "smoke" it instead, which I gather is some sort of tint. Is he talking bull?

Here's some pictures (Sorry crappy blackberry ones):

Very odd. Thats not a 2011 Sport Bumper or a 2011 Journey bumper. But it has the 2011 sport wheels.

The sport wheels can come as a seperate package added on. But I dont know why it has a pre-2011 sport bumper on it. All 2011's come with fogs integrated into the bumper.

congrats and nice choice on the color. the mw is goergous. get a windows tint too. doesnt have to be that much but a 35% all around makes the car look better imo. you can check my pics in my profile to see if you like.

also, its strange about the front bumper. make sure the dealer didnt throw 2011 sport wheels on a 2010 model g37 and sell it to you as a 2011.

Look on the inside of the drivers side where the door meets the car where there is a sticker that tells you when the car was made. Give you the color code too. That will tell if they ****ed you or not....

The long rectangular license plate on the front bumper looks like it is in Europe or Middle East?

Yeah that's BS on the headlights. I did it myself over a year ago and no leakage/condesation. Just get a roll of "butyl rubber" tape/sealant. I found some at an RV supply store. Put a layer of it all around the seal when you put the headlights back together and use a hairdryer to warm it up while you screw the screws back in, or put it back in the oven. I prefer the hairdryer.

I can even send you my left over roll if you are willing to pay a few bucks to ship. More than enough to do another set of lights.
