This will probably be the cheapest and best thing you can possibly do without damaging your car's value. Also, if you ever get bored of the white you can always go back to red...

When you tradein after repaint they will also use the scanner and see that you have 2 different coats on there. Might raise questions about previous accidents and lower tradein value even if car is just repainted for aesthetics

Agree with above. Or do a Matte white vinyl rap, that would be dope.

I've read about durability on vinyl wraps like you will end up having to replace/repair the wrap down the road which is cumbersome and somewhat of an headache. Try to research and ask those who have done it before first before deciding to get one.

If you want to go white, go with a custom white. There are lots of very nice white out there. Lambo balloon white, glacier frost mica, starfire pearl.. can't think of others from on top my head but they all look different and each has their own uniqueness.

You should also look into other custom/exotic colors.

Don't repaint you car, evar! It will ruin the look, not be perfect, and you'll lose value of the car right away. Either wrap it temporarily or buy white car, lol.

Factory paint jobs are not "perfect." OP if you decide to paint, take it to a reputable shop. Any reputable shop warranties the workmanship and paint for as long as you have the vehicle. Make sure their painter has a history of doing high-end and/or custom work. You will pay, but it is definitely possible to get a color swap paint job as "perfect" as a factory paint job.
