Newbie needs help buying a new Infiniti

Hello Everyone,

Looking forward to becoming an Infinity owner. I love the G37, but need something a little larger. Therefore, I'm going to purchase a 2012 M37awd. Now I know this is a G car forum, but I see you guys are very active/knowledgable so I'm hoping you can help me out. Here's my questions:

1.) Does anyone have access to do a nationwide seach for a specific Infinity? My local dealer wants to sell what he has, so I'm not confident he is giving me 'the truth'. Can I call Infinity headquarters for help in locating a car?

2.) Can you guys recommend any dealers that price aggressively/fairly? We live in Pittsburgh, PA, but would be willing to travel a reasonable distance (500 miles) or have the car delivered.

3.) Any other information you think might be useful?

Here's the car I'm looking for:

2012 Infiniti M37X

Exterior color....Harbour Blue (*Must have)

Interior Color....Java leather/white ash silver-powdered wood trim or Graphite leather/white ash silver-powdered wood trim

Packages....
(1) Premium (*Must have)
(2) Deluxe touring (*Must have)
(3) Technology (*Must have).

Thanks in advance for any help. REALLY appreciated!

LOL the op is asking for help, and all you guys are just flaming him... hahah to op, the dealer might be bs'ing you about the cars, cuz im pretty sure all the dealers want to get rid of their current inventory before the new 2012 cars come rolling in... but why not check cars.com??

also, just stroll in and ask him to show you the list of cars in the area that meet your criteria. if he doesnt, thank him for his time and roll out.

I hope you had your flame suit on, but don't worry about it too much. The whole point of this forum is to learn about these cars. There is no national inventory search that I know about. Best bet is to use sites like cars.com or autotrader.com to see what dealers posted. There is usually a link to the dealer's website and you can search more of the inventory there.

Just be careful. If the car you are looking for isn't there, you might just roll out with a new G!

Yeah, I guess that was pretty stooopid. - LOL... I did spell it with an 'i' in a couple of them in the post, so cut me some slack. I'm at work, in a hurry, and just not thinking... What's even more amusing is I saw 11 responses and thought, "holy crap! I'm going to get tons of info." Only to get a well deserved flame!

Anyway, I'll check cars.com, autotrader.com, etc... Plus contact Da Mayor. Any other information is welcome and I guess I'm forever stuck with this username now. It's grown on me... It goes well with 'Newbie' anyway.

The dealer I bought my G from had to do a swap with another dealer, about 100 miles away,,to get the colors and package I wanted.
They said they had one coming in that would fit the bill, but I told them I didn't want to wait. There was no extra charge or I would have shopped elsewhere.

Infiniti's web site will let you do a dealer inventory search. You just change the mile radius you want it to search. If they are unwilling to help you look it's worth a drive to another dealer. I too have the M on my wish list.
