Gave the G back :(

Hi folks, I'm sad to say that I no longer have a G37. My wife and I had a second kid in September of last year and it was getting too hard for my wife to be the only one driving the kids around since I couldn't fit two baby seats in the G37 because of my height and how far I have to push the drivers seat back.

So I had to buy a more practical vehicle. So I returned the G back to the dealership (I was leasing it), and ended up buying a used 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8. At least I was able to buy another fast car and combine that with the fact I can fit all my kids in there.

I wanted to buy another vehicle from the Nissan family as I am a big Nissan fanboy but I couldn't find any used FX50's for FX45's in my area. So I ended up going with the Jeep when I saw it. I've already had the Jeep for 3 weeks and have started modifying it with bolt ons already.

Anyways I just wanted to say thank you to all the forum members whose posts I've benefited from over the years. You guys are awesome and I hope to see you again soon someday when I can return to the Infiniti fold!

-Cheers, RP

Maybe an M??? I know someone who had to do a similar thing, but they went with an M. All the best man. Gotta have an SUV in any family anyway.

My cousin just made a similar decision. He gave up his 335i for a fully loaded Tahoe. Although transitioning to a beast like an SRT8 Jeep makes it easier lol

Family is priority always.

Was it easy giving the car back? How much did you have left on the lease?

The reason I ask is because there have been a number of members on this forum who have just given the car back to get something else and yet they never dive into the process.

Congrats on the SRT. Check out www.jeepgarage.com if you haven't already - LOTS of great info for the WK SRT. It's a great community.

Well, I'm going to be the downer of the lot.

Jeep is rated as one of the least reliable vehicles sold in the U.S.

Here's a quote about it.

Jeep

Jeep
Reliability score: 71%

Jeep is the sister company of Chrysler, and it appears poor reliability is a common characteristic of the two. The brand is renowned for its tough-looking 4x4s, but don’t be fooled by those butch exteriors. Older models like the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee suffer with poor reliability scores, dropping the average older model rating to 67.9%. Servicing costs are comparatively high too - only a Porsche will cost more to maintain over a year.
