Dog...I'm gonna answer the question since I see nobody else has. No. you will only gain that exact sound back if you return to that exact setup. If the pipes themselves (the aftermarket pipes) are bigger and allow more flow than the OEM pipes, then it won't matter if you put the OEM muffler on them...it will still be a dif sound because the new pipes allow more flow.

Just my oppinion...from a common sense point of view...I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

But at the end of the day...it's all trial and error...try it and let us know what happens...you've already jumped out there. Ride or die sun!!!
