Since you have such low mileage, the $28,000 purchase price is not bad. As a point of reference, the average ASKING price for a 2008 G37 Coupe in the tri-state area with under 15,000 miles is $30,124 and $28,672 for those with under 30,000 miles. I agree that the 2011's have some nice features and since you put low mileage on your car, I would suggest you consider two things: Either purchase your next car or see if you can save some money by doing a low mileage lease. I have a 15K miles/yr lease. When shopping for my 2009 coupe, I recall that the monthly payment was considerably lower for a lease with 10K miles/yr. I'm not sure what the lowest mileage you can get on a lease is, but it may be worth looking into.

I am in sales at a Infiniti Dealership here in CT and I could say in confidence that your buyout it definitely less than what the car is worth. If you are to do anything, I would buy the car out and sell i privately. The only problem you are going to run into when buying the car outright is that you will need to pay taxes, re-safety check the vehicle and so on and so fourth, about 2k-2500 more on top of your buy out. You may or may not need to certify the car (It is an 08 but you still have an existing warranty) which would run you another $800. That needs to be taken into consideration. I definitely think you have equity in the vehicle and you should explore your options more.

Seem's to me you could spend an extra 13k and get a new one that has all the new features, is 3 years newer, under warranty, doesn't need new tires and brakes etc.

All the feedback here are so valid it's difficult coming to a decision. I really am stumped. Each time I think about it, I end up changing my mind. =) This is going to be difficult.
